Gas Laws

Part A - Boyle's Law

In this part, you will establish the relationship between volume and pressure for a fixed amount of gas. This is generally known as Boye's Law.

Part B - Determination of R

In this part, you will use Boyle's Law to determine the working volume of your system. You will also use the change in pressure upon reaction, the number of moles of hydrogen gas produced in the reaction of Mg + HCl, the temperature, to determine the value of the Gas Law Constant, R.
